omg, you guys. you almost made me cry. i wasn't expecting everyone to be so damn happy to see me back. thanks SO much. you just made my day. 
lately i've been feeling so DIY. i've been making bread and granola and cookies and other yummy things and fixing stuff and putting together new furniture and drawing out plans for our backyard and planning a door for the big empty space in the wall that separates the hallway from the living room. it's been great.
work has been insane, what with the shrikes and the owls returning, but it's good. most days i feel like i'm making a difference, although i've had several days where i just want to give up the 'good fight' and just go home and cry. but i guess i have to take them in stride.
J and i spent last weekend in Calgary, where i ended up making an appointment at Smiling Buddha Tattoo to finally get a tattoo. more on that at another time...but it does have a definite dragonfly feel to it...
and now, for the questions:
1) tell me something exciting/weird/wonderful that happened to you in the past month.
2) last movie you saw and what you thought of it.
3) a few nights ago i had a dream that Danny Devito kicked the shit out of me for not bringing in enough clients for him. when i came to, i was in a hospital, and reconstructive surgery had been done on my face, and i felt pretty...soooooo pretty... please offer your insight to this bizarre dream.

I would say welcome back, but I left for like six months and Ijust got back.. did they get you like they got me?
