thanks for all the love and condolences. it means a lot right now.
it would seem that celtic-influenced fiddle-type music is good for the spirit. i come from the Leahy concert tonight with a lighter heart than i've had in a while.
last night i went to the prayers for my uncle. it would seem that i'm numb. that my brain/heart/etc. has cut me off from mourning. just numb. but then i broke down during one of the songs tonight. apparently, the emotions are trying to get out, there's just something stopping them. i promise to try to mediate it, and not just start sobbing at random intervals.
some questions for you this fine spring eve:
1) do you believe in the 'law of three'? (i.e. good and bad things come in threes)
2) do you believe in an afterlife?
3) favorite ice cream flavour?
4) pick one: hug, kiss, nudge
5) choose a comfort food.
much
and

for you all
hmmmm... i think i'll be the oldest person at SG Regina drink night tomorrow. does this make me the denmother or something?

Second, I am a geek, and I am very proud of that.
1) Yes I do. I also believe in The Book of Three.
2) I used to believe in this very odd version of heaven, but now, I think I believe in a state of higher consciousness, where our thoughts and beliefs are all melded into an eternal universal soup to be fed upon by cultures and galaxies far from our own. The body is a shell, and we will shed that shell in the afterlife and become only what our minds have allowed us to become. Oh yes, and dogs, cats, bears, ravens, trees, roses, sloths, (and other such beings) will all be there as well, as we can always learn from them.
3) Can't eat Ice Cream. I like lemon sorbet.
4) A hug can be very theraputic and amazing when needed, but only a kiss will bring me melting to the floor.
5) Potato chips with cottage cheese and sloppy joes.
