so my wonderful man is gone for the week, training for his new job. it's going to be somewhat lonely around here, but at least the great roommate will be around. i plan to busy myself with christmas-y things (not done the shopping yet, have scads of cookies, etc. to make) and gettin' out of the house too. going to bar tuesday for some birthday fun with a friend. should be a good time.

what is your favorite holiday-type cookie? i'm a fan of the ginger snaps and the cream cheese sugar cookies love

my favorites are snickerdoodles, too. I'm a big fan of cinnamon. I want your cream cheese sugar cookie recipe! I've never heard of adding cream cheese, but I can imagine it helps make them yummier. my cookie repertoire is basically comprised of cinnamon chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, honey shortbread, and gingersnaps. I like baking cakes better-less work. my grandparents gave me loads of fresh South Georgia pecans yesterday, so I might make something with those. anyways, send me a recipe if you have one! have fun, woman!smile
