Day off!!! 
No rigs, no teaching, so out came the old (old) bike for a bit of a spin.
Test ride in the paddock, not concentrating, and hit a spot where the horses had been pawing. Bike ok, me a bit knocked around, ego, massively shattered as I was getting that euphoric "The world is mine." manic grin, just prior to unplanned and grossely undignified splat!!
Ce la vie my friends (or os it Ceste la vie - my French is as senile as I am).
Returned after a concilatory rum at the local, then settled down to watch series 1 and 2 of 'Grumpy Old Men'. I now must confess that I must have inexplicably degraded to that status - 'Cos I agreed with them!
I still think the poms do the best comedy and naval gazing!!

Sorry to hear of the undignified get off. Damned beasts sabotaging your spin. It's uncivil is what it is.
