50 things I am really proud of:

1. I am an adult and can wash and dress myself.
2. I can make a good Bchamel sauce.
3. I can use linux and windows based computer systems.
4. I have moved house enough times to know how to do it effectively.
5. I keep my room and home clean and tidy.
6. I know when it is appropriate to not worry about my room or home getting dirty.
7. I can talk intelligently about music and films and to some extent, comics.
8. I am writing this using frankenlaptop which I built myself out of spare bits, it runs Kubuntu.
9. I can solder a good clean electrical joint.
10. I can program computers in a number of high level languages and a few very low level languages.
11. I know what a compiler is and how to write a make file.
12. I know several methodologies for running a effective engineering project.
13. I can play at least one song written by Steve Vai on the guitar.
14. I can play the bass line to Blur's, 'Girls and Boys'.
15. I own a very attractive Persian rug.
16. I can tie my shoe laces with one hand if I have to.
17. I have no prejudice for age, race or class, people are people and we are all generally just trying to make the best of what we have worked for and what luck has graciously granted us.
18. I passed my driving test and safely pilot a car or van.
19. I can share stories about the M6.
20. I understand much of quantum theory and the implications of many of ideas that it has spawned.
21. I know bits of the French language and enjoy using them.
22. Maths is my second language and while I am not fluent, I understand a lot more than I can use.
23. I have built some brilliant bivouacs in the past.
24. I can play at least 2 romantic Coldplay songs on the piano.
25. I give money to charity all the time.
26. I would never let any past experiences lend judgment to new people and new things.
27. I can paint and draw a picture.
28. I have friends I have cherished for 20 years.
29. I have friends I have cherished for 2 months.
30. I have the most supportive and loving family anyone could ask for.
31. I can assemble a very effective Infinity army and win games with a degree of strategic nuance.
32. I near scratch built a much coveted unit of Rough Riders riding Cold Ones (futuristic knights with gas masks riding dinosaurs).
33. I have played music to crowds of hundreds of people that were there to hear the music I had helped write and see the band I played in.
34. I moved to London.
35. I don't worry about the stuff that just doesn't matter.
36. I am in 2 Hollywood movies.
37. I can fly a fixed or a rotary wing aircraft and have performed aerobatic maneuvers over my home town.
38. I will never stop dreaming and trying, even when sometimes it looks like it is impossible to carry on.
39. I learned to brush my teeth myself at age 5.
40. I have kept the same brown leather messenger bag for 9 years, it feels like an old friend, it has been on every adventure I have and sometimes I wish it could talk and drink so we could reminisce.
41. I can strip, clean and rebuild an SA80 assault rifle.
42. I am a pretty good shot and when the zombies come I will be a person worth sticking with.
43. I have 4 Z-Day plans.
44. I know how the internet works on every level of the OSI model, including levels 8 and 9.
45. I know what the OSI levels 8 and 9 are and several ways to best tackle them.
46. I can make a really good cup of tea.
47. I am not afraid to travel and am pretty organised when I need to be.
48. I know, when organisation has not been effective or has been rendered useless by unforeseen changes, that I can be pretty quick witted.
49. I have watched the whole of Neon Genesis Evangelion in one sitting and am not afraid to say I cried at the end.
50. I met my childhood musical heros and can say they were incredibly generous and interesting people.

51. I could think of many more than 50 things that I am really proud of.
