The Self Idealised Thought Manipulated Patterns in Free Transient Human Body Language.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

1.1 - Personal Achievements

Well we played a mighty fine 'pap cansurt' last night. Definitly our best performance so far and as we all know, Most Improved is just as much of a prize as Highest Attainment. We all went up with so many ideas in our heads but, as is becoming a habit, it all went out the window when we got onstage and we just opened up and didn't really stop, untill G-Shock checked his phone for time and realised we'd been playing 35mins, lol. Much better structure though. Now that Qube and I have got used to each other proparly and really know how to work together we each don't have to be making noise all the time, lol. Much better command of silence and atmosphere whcih allowed us to have much smoother build ups and equally, sudden onslaughts. Dobbins.

1.2 - Anecdotal Evidence

I manged to get out 3 phrases this show which made me pretty happy, 'Hi we're The Bee Shocked Qubed', 'This IS Mother North Navigates The Bear' and 'Thanks allot guys, that was The Bee Shocked Qubed present Mother North Naigates The Bear', lol. Screw it, they don't care what I'm thinking, I'm the only one that will have a mic next to them and although I kinda feel there ought to be more vocal interaction, I'm terrified. I've played in other bands and been a really chatty frontman, but this is different, I'm not really the frontman and you can be confident with music you know and have tested. I get nervous of the crowd with TBSQ coz it's unrehearsed. Does that matter?? Do I need to talk more, would the lack of interaction seem at all negative to any of you guys??

We do kinda want people to think we're uber pretentious, beacause that's funny, but not idiots/twats.

We played Climbing Up The Walls by the famed Radiohead to, it came out as a sort of joke... we'd just played a spacey few minutes towards the end of the set, Q was building up some hellish bass slide screamy squelchy oscillating noise to lead it out. So I started playing the song on piano hoping he'd catch my eye, but he didn't even look up. I was expecting to fade it out under his part, but he just started playing along, which made G perk up to. We ended up falling into an epic version that jumped between industrial and electro, if I remember rightly G even managed to get in some blast beats. smile

My Two Favourite Moments

--+> G-Shock showing me a txt from Tom the sound guy saying, 'so foppishly relaxed you can play with your phone aye'.

--+> Us... somehow... all stopping dead at exactly the same moment, as if we were all expecting a solo from each other. There was a brief moment of bemusement from us and the loudest laugh ever from Q. Of course I used this moment to tell the crowd that, 'this IS Mother North Navigates The Bear' and then dropping back in.

1.3 - In Conclusion

Great times, but will have to start looking to play venues where people don't expect to clap between songs. I'm not abducating drug use either, but seriously we really should be giving out a phat E with each flyer, lol biggrin .

So we're going to go looking for clubs we can play, nice.

2 The day today;

The Rising Proliferation of Affordable Digital Technology and it's Effect on the Happines of Mankind

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Got my ass into some very specific gear this week and traversed the wilds to steal everyone's media. I now have all of U2, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Oasis from my man C, those records I do love but can never be arsed to download a discography for or ever buy CDs. All of the The War Room's material which is something I really really really really really should have, but didn't. Plus loads of great movies from D, in fact I watched Bottle Rocket this afternoon, what a cool movie, I'd love to make films with my brother I bet it'd be fun... Wes Anderson definitly makes it seem so.

That's about it. Love life still sucks and G is probably screwing Monica to my Chandler, for the best though. She's great, don't get me wrong love the girl, but my hesitation is good sign, trust your gut and that. There are just some little prangy things about her that I wouldn't love to hate, and would just hate... lol, crushing. Plus it's way more fun to watch everyone else secretly ripping the piss out of them both for it, to their faces and elsewhere. Glad I dodged that to be honest, as funny as it is.

3 - Almost Forgot ARRR!!!

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

D's birthday celebration last week. We soooooooo went all the way down to Quasar and had a jolly old time. Luckily for us we had the whole place to ourselves so swearing, running and military role-play were totally allowed!

There were some great, 'take the bridge!', 'cover me, someone's gotta break their hold on the damn high ground', 'watch for the fucking snipers', 'I love you like a brother man, ready? lets end this', 'I'm pinned down, send backup!', 'VICTORY IS OURS!' type moments.

The joy of this may have been that much heightened than we all remember from childhood due to the subtle quantities of stimulating narcotics we had consumed combined with UV decor and our own mix tape playing any and all tunes with war related titles we could find smile biggrin tongue ....... shocked

I tend to not do things like that either.would be so much easier if everyone did it though, imagine all the people that might be together that have not been because they thought that person didn't like them. Then again.Imagine all the break ups! lol.
Well i just hope the heat catches up with the sunshine too! im sick of having to take a coat to nightclubs! xx
