Rich and I went out for a few jars in town last night and talked long and hard about everything in the world. Starting at Subside, our cool new 'rock bar dive' on Paradise Circus, to which we have become a kind of regular. It's a nice bar and the... Read More
Either way it was going to be a grudge match depending on tonights score... but damn, it's played through with such poetry.
England, the uderdogs are beaten and bruised at the first meeting with an ememy, old and young members of the cadre are lost and old bruts brought in. The team slowly trains itself in a series of funky montage style Pool games showing... Read More
I hate egg-chasing but even I got excited and loved every minute of the England game on Saturday night! I'm actually looking forward to the final, even though the boy reckons we don't have a chance in hell of winning!!
Yes but didn't they piss on us 36-0 at the start of the world cup? I will still watch it all the same, don't worry.
I also think from a girls perspective there is nothing attractive about cauliflower ears and looking like Sloth from The Goonies and while I agree these are more men than say footballers, they're actually too manly for me! I know some girls love a good scrap, but seeing them blokes with blood pissing out of their heads and ears falling off etc. turns me right off!
Greg (drummer in Best Toys and The War Room) and I did a set last night at Transmission as a duet. Myself on the old laptop and keys and him doing all the live drums. We had never rehearsed a thing together and it was billed as progressive electro... and it was! There were some moments where I thought the commuication, and... Read More
Hmmmmm, maybe you're right, maybe I shouldn't be so harsh. I think I've seen snippets of the 'opera' you refer to and it was absolute gash. Also, I have a serious problem with him and his tendencies towards underage girls. I believe he's in court very soon? x
I think I may have fallen in love with my project supervisor at Uni. His name is.... unimportant, he has an office full, and I mean full of, wires, keyboards and boxes that make funny noises, what a dream boat.
This is gonna be a good year. I've already gone mad over design ideas and he thinks that allot of what I'm suggesting is fairly... Read More
Yes, as I always tell, ages ago journals were keps under a lock and now they're in internet.
I agree, to have the same taste is sometimes boring, I like better to have somoene to argue with, but not the typical fight like "don't throw your socks away anymore".
I'm back online... Didn't get the iBook in the end, turns out loads of the software I need for my new Uni year only works on the windows platform and I can't be bothered to faff about with running MacOS and Vista in tandem. Still my new machine is fairly pretty, just darker.
All sorts of fun things are happening these days to. Uni... Read More
Yay, I'm 'not poor' again. Pay day on friday and my cash prize from The Grandparents has arrived!!!
....one week too fuckin late. I had to sell my Leeds ticket as I couldn't afford a festival weekend and turn down a half price Creamfields one for the above reasons. Rubbish. Still at least I get a four day work week and I'm going to see... Read More
Yay, I start a new job on monday, finally, there's nothing worse than extended unemployment. Well apart from stuff like world hunger and agricultural surplus, baby killers, the Kenyan economy, conflict diamonds and gold, The Killers...... well, we all get the idea.
It does really suck not having a routine to stick to though and good mental activity in the daylight hours. I'm really looking... Read More
Maybe with a car and a good map you'll be able to find it
Tatooine wasn't that hard to find, as they sell whatever they know that they should have guides to show you the place. Everything is for the money, though
Gregwise came round last night with Joshua Tree to discuss love, life and laundry and we ended up getting out the noise machines. By noise machines I mean, synth, guitars and drum machines. At frst we were just messing about annoying the neighbours with drum and bass and really dark industrial messes, after much laughter chatter and about 'too many' spliffs Gregwise conviced me to... Mixing has finally been completed for Best Toys EP (I'm In Love With The White Lady, see The Beatles for white lady referencing). This means that the old rubbish versions of the tunes on myspazz can be shifted and we can finally get on with 'it'. Our producer Jon has been absolutely damned fantastic, he's a perfectionist so despite having mastered a mix that... Read More
Still not king/employed/in possession of a new MacBook..... damn it.
Turns out I shuld have started work at Loyds 2 weeks ago, but the idiots at the Uni got confused about my references. Then Reed (my employment agent) lost all the details and told me that I had to get new contact details for my employer at the university. I should if it's... Read More
Ah, Buffalo is an awesome venue. I played there a few weeks ago. It's really nice.
I don't get the Cardiff emo thing. The guy I have a crush on was talking about all the emos in Cardiff, but I can't ever recall seeing any ever?
I think the staff of Cranes hate me because I once told a guy in there where to get an Ashdown MAG for much cheaper online, when the sales assistant was about to complete a sale. I just hate seeing people get ripped off, they wanted 300 more for it than what I'd seen it online for!
