Well all my hard work of training paid off and I'm officially Ni-Dan! I never thought I'd ever do something like this or ever make it this far in ranking. As second degree black belt is an even bigger deal then getting your initial black belt. Aikido has really become a huge part of my life for so many reasons other then it being a martial art. And I'm quite content and thankful for all my friends and familiy who have supported me through this last year of turmoil in my life.
So I celebrated on Saturday night by enjoying a huge yummy beer - Great Divide's Old Ruffian Barleywine! A favorite winter warmer brew I"ve mine!
Then yesterday sat for 6 more hours and got a whole bunch of coloring added to my left arm that was started this past Spring. One more session of 4 to 6 hours and it should be complete? Gonna go in and do that after the New Year...then it'll take a while to design my left leg artwork and then start on that hopefully next summer? Need to save up big time for that sucker.
