OK, so tomorrow is national To Write Love On Her Arms Day. If you want to really find out about it go to www.twloha.com but for those those that just want a brief synopsis, TWLOHA is an organization that is all about bringing light to depression and some of the things it causes like burning, cutting, violence to self and others, substance abuse, and ultimately suicide. As hypocritical as I feel saying it on this site, it is a sad fact that at the rate of once every forty seconds somebody dies by suicide.

TWLOHA's stated mission is "We at TWLOHA believe that rescue is possible, and are committed to communicating hope to others who know the daily struggle of living in a broken world."

I'm all about that. I know people who have suffered and do suffer from extreme depression. I've been in the waiting room wondering if a friend who tried to kill himself will survive. I want him, and the tens of thousands like him to know that there are plenty of us who care. One way to do that is for me, and for all of us, to literally write "LOVE" on our arms tomorrow.
