Well to bring sg up to date, I was hit last march(march of 2011) by a semi. I have been going back and forth to several doctors ever since, they have had me on all sorts of meds and treatments, but none of them helped. They couldnt find the problem, it felt like I was banging my head against a wall. I couldnt get the doctors I had to do anything as far as tests to determine the cause of my pain, and I got the impression that they now thought I was faking my symptoms because the tests they ran came back negative. Recently I got a new attorney and he set me up with some awesome doctors and they did a 3d mri of my neck and found a bulging disc. I had a discogram done(not as much fun as it sounds), and determined that the disc was the cause of my problems. So then I get referred to the orthopaedic surgeon (dr orisek, awesome guy), and he said i was a candidate for a full disc replacement with the prodisc system. I get excited for a life free of pain, but then my attorney calls me and tells me that my insurance denied the procedure due to it being "unproven". Wtf. So now its onto a third party lender, MedFin, to see if they will finance the operation. Every step seems to take another week, and another week. Im so tired of the system, I just want to be fixed. My attorney said Im looking at a six figure settlement after the surgery, but I dont even care about that right now. I want to be pain and medication free.
