Interesting... Wonder why they changed the name instead of just teaching their students about it... I guess we'll never know, will we.

i used to hate david matthews. at university, there was some bloke on the first floor of my dorm building that played the same matthews song incessantly. and due to his location, everytime you came into the building, you'd hear it. one of the torments of the entire year.

i've since gotten over it, but i think that's because i had a crush on a particular girl once and her favorite band was david matthews.

i'm listening to the autolux album and i love it, andy stayed home from work today, we slept till almost 2 pm! we went up like 9, had breakfast, bla bla, then we just went back to bed again.

No apologies necessary-- you know it can take me quite a while sometimes when I'm busy, too. I just wrote that guy a note in his journal to the same effect & he seemed unconcerned when he wrote back. Hey, if he doesn't like it, he doesn't have to be my "friend", ya know? However, it sounds like he's going through some turmoil in his life, so maybe he's not normally like that.

Oh yes, the Buffy knitting night sure was fun! I believe we introduced my friend Joscelyn to "Welcome to the Hellmouth/The Harvest", "The Witch", "Teacher's Pet", and by then we were running on empty a little (well, Christina --the host-- and I probably could have gone for more-- she said it didn't matter how late we stayed because she'd probably just watch until she fell alseep anyway. . .), so then we just finished up with "Once More, With Feeling", to give Jos a look at the even cheesier side of things. . . those of us who could sang along, of course. I really think we need to do that again soon. . .

Oh, no word yet on the fella I'm dating. . . he's yet again busy this week, this time with family in town. By the time I get the chance to bring up what's been on my mind, it will have been over three weeks since I actually talked to him face to face (or actually on the phone for that matter-- he doesn't call & only e-mails in response to mine). Doesn't sound like much of a dating life, does it? Alas. . . I'm actually not too bothered by it at this point. Jos is encouraging me to go find a nice girl to smooch on next. . . you know-- mix it up a bit

I highly recommend "My Summer of Love", by the way. Some of the camera work was annoying at the beginning, but the story & acting was intense (and sometimes really hot, esp. because the girls are British!!!)

Well, I'm off lay about and watch some more of Season 2 of Six Feet Under. Have a safe & happy 4th, kiddo!!!! Do you have any big plans?
