Just got back from my little adventure. I was all Lewis and Clarky-except that I probably took more showers. And they didn't ride in an iron bird. I want to thank Cat and Rapture for their hospitality. I love you both.
And I want to tell Vinyle and Laceyglove that you guys and your whole family are in my thoughts.
That's an interesting idea, considering companions can obviously be healers as well, and aren't as cut off from their entire nature (physical as well as spiritual). There's that one point in the series (don't remember which ep), where Book actually goes to Inara for confession, insinuating that she may be the more profound of the two spiritual leaders-- that is, if he's even a shepherd at all. I'll throw that idea out to my GM & see how it hits-- could be fun!!
Otherwise, my day has pretty well been spent being lazy in the morning, then forcing myself to do dishes & reading for my Jewish lit class. Sedom & 'Amora, commonly known as Soddom & Gammora, is actually a pretty funny story, considering Lot wanted to throw his daughters out to pacify the raging hordes outside his house, then ends up unknowingly sleeping with them when they get him drunk & "lay" with him, thinking he may be the last man on earth still alive. Who said the Bible/Torah is boring?
I'm writing from Cat's house. At the moment she's making me breakfast. I'm on her couch with a blanet over my legs and I ring a little bell whenever I want her to bring me something. I think I want the blanket tucked under my chin. Hold on. I have to ring my bell.
God, it took her FOREVER to come running! It's... Read More
i'm good, but tired. Quiet one in for me tonight too. I'm going to a wedding in Philly for the weekend but will be home sunday afternoon sometime. I'll give you a call.
I'm the luckiest fucker on the planet. How can I not be? I got to see Vinyle this weekend, along with the amazing laceyglove (who instantly became one of my new favorite people on earth) as well as the lovely KikiBH.
Did I mention that I got to see Vinyle? yeah. it was fun.
And I'm leaving on Tuesday to see Cat-speaking... Read More
That's the clock. The clock I'll be watching until 10 o'clock or so tonight when I get out of here for a two week break. I can't wait.
This is of interest to any "Sopranos" fans out there: we just learned that we're doing a 8-episode season 7 and that will be the end of the show for good. That... Read More
Heya, kiddo! Sorry I've been out of touch for a while. I'm not as freaked out as I was a coupla weeks ago, but I'm still exhausted. I just have to remind myself how lucky I am to be able to do my artwork & FORCE myself to still have energy for it after these gruelling days because in the end, that's all that will really sustain my soul. The day job is meaningless (except that there are luckily some nice people @ the university & very cool kids who go there who are pretty inspiring).
How does it feel to know when your job will end? That would kinda weird me out, although it's pretty far in the distance at this point. I bet, though, since you've done such an awesome job with this show, that the producer (or whoever makes those decisions) will pick you up for the next project they do.
It's evening
And the sun is set low in the sky
She steps out on her back porch
And breathes the cool air deep inside.
She remembers the times they had
But holds it all inside

But enough of that.
So I went to this party on Saturday, and because we're in NY there was a "VIP" room in the club set apart with velvet ropes and all. The velvet... Read More
If only there was a little wig shop for pets 'round here. I bet I could win some sort of look-alike cat contest. I hope your last day at work isn't too harrowing!
...and so to finish yesterday's story, I used the little girl as a human shield and was able to make my getaway. The cops, as usual, are none the wiser.
And in other news I'm very excited to welcome my adopted mother Rapture into my home. It's been decided that she's going to live in my closet. I shall feed her mice. I can't wait.... Read More
It's funny how the hours we spend unconscious can completely govern our lives. For whatever reason I was completely unable to sleep last night and now I'm sitting here at looking at a list of things that I really have to do, and the idea of actually DOING them seems completely out of the relm of possibility to me. I'm just sitting here at my... Read More
Jay Chandrasekhar, Super troopers and club dread made me laugh, and even giggle like a small child. I want to see what he can do with the duke boys. That and Jessica Simpson, I mean lets be realistic here.
Here's a wierd thought: the canned laughter and applause that you hear on sitcoms were taped on the Red Skelton show in the 50s. One company has a patent on that canned laughter and they handle most of the shows on TV. So what you're hearing is a lot of people who are now dead laughing at someone who is also dead.
