Dear God,

I've been thinking about the commandments. The original Top 10 list. The list you gave to Moses in private. When he said "Everybody wait here! God TOTALLY needs to talk to me alone but when I come back you have to do everything that I say."

My first question is this- how come you always have to talk to prophets in private. Why can't everyone hear? That would sort of help with the old credibility issue, you know.

But onto the list. You're kinda missing a few things, aren't you? I don't see anything in here about rape, child abuse, torture, slavery, and a lot of other things. And the first 3 commandments are kinda self serving, aren't they? If you're all powerful do you really need to set aside 3 commandments to tell us to kiss your ass? What does that even matter to you?

I'm just wondering why you didn't adding commandments about feeding the poor, or protecting the weak, or resolving our differences peacefully. That would have saved us a lot of trouble down here. Next time you take someone aside privately to give them a list, keep that in mind. ok?
