So last night I was driving home from work and I pull over at a gas station down the block from me because I was long past "Empty". In NJ we don't pump the gas ourselves, so I say "Fill it up regular, please" to the guy there and start texting a friend.

Outside my car I hear "Fucking make me stand here in the rain, motherfuker!"

I look in the rearview mirror to see who he's talking to, but there's nobody there. Then I realize that he's talking about me. So I look at him and he's glaring at me.

I'm like "Excuse me?"

He says "It's raining, asshole and I'm out here."

I didn't quite know how to react.

"I didn't make it rain."

"There are other gas stations! You couldn't go there?"

I'm not kidding.

So I said "Take the nozzle out"

"There's already 3 dollars in it"

"Fine I'll give you the three dollars. Take the nozzle out."

"Fuck you!"

I'm not kidding!

So I get out and take the thing out myself and ceremoniously dump it in the garbage pail next to to pump" I then give the guy 3 dollars and get back in my car. He then SLAMS his hands on my hood and screams "Mutherfucker!"

I just stared at him. I was really confused. First he was upset that I came, then he was upset that I was leaving. This had been one of the more eventful gas experiences I've had in some time.

So I backed up and then just drove around him. He screamed "Asshole!" at me as I drove off.


I'm not going to that gas station again for AT LEAST a week.
