My world's getting too small. It's getting hard to breathe. All the street signs point to places I've been before. All the corners turn into each other. All the songs on the jukebox are the same. The weight keeps building up on my shoulders and I need to shake it off.

A funny thing happens as you get older. Bit by little little bit you give up tiny pieces of yourself. You don't notice it at the time, and then all of a sudden you wake up one day you're a different person that the person you used to be. That you wanted to be.

A guy I work with took a bunch of pills today and went to sleep in his car, hoping not to wake up. He's got a wife and kids at home and a ton of stress going on here. I don't know what's going on in his head, but sometimes I least recognize the impulse.

Dreams don't mean nothing unless you work up the heart and the muscle to make a promise to yourself one day and then repeat that promise every day. Every day. And don't ever let go.

I've got promises to keep.
