Ok, for no good reason (other than a possible nod to "High Fidelity") I've decided that off the top of my head this is my top 10 list of favorite NY bands/musicians:

2. The New York Dolls
3. The Velvet Underground
4. Public Enemy
5. Run DMC
6. Blondie
7. The Beastie Boys
8. Biggie Smalls
9. LL Cool J
10. Dion and the Bellmonts

I purposely left off Simon and Garfunkle because they're annoying and precious. I left off Billy Joel because he's embarrassing, and Bob Dylan doesn't count as a NY performer even though he got his start performing there. I don't know why he doesn't, but he doesn't.
Should Jay Z replace Blondie, the Beastie Boys or LL Cool J? Maybe. But this is my list and I'm stickin to it.

dumbass ramble sounds great to me. i'm on skype now and then, just go online and check it ooouuut. i'm not in a good mood though... but i've been out for a walk and had some tea and yeah i'm ok but... a bit... grumpy. just bored and frustrated i guess and not sure what to do or how to do it. too much boring stuff coming up, and i need some fun but it is SO lonely here and i hate that. i really do like seeing people and i never get to do that. oh weeeell.
