I can remember when there were only 3 channels + PBS. I remember when ONE family in our town had HBO and we'd all go over to watch on Friday night and we thought hearing a curse on TV was insane.

I remember gas shortages in the late 70's when we had to go wait on line for hours to fill up the car.

I remeber Elvis dying.

I remember Ronald Reagan being elected.

I was totally in love with Mary Lou Retton.

I remember when VCRs first came out. Our friends had a Betamax. it was about the size of a small foreign car.
