Sunday was my last day at both jobs. It's kind of scary to be unemployed, but hopefully it won't be for long. My last night was amazing. My bosses, who I've only worked for for a month, made me a bunch of food and gave it to me to take home. Both my coworkers brought me gifts -- one guy gave me a good luck charm he brought back from Japan, and the other bought me chocolates and a card and wrapped them and everything. I almost cried. I really didn't think anyone would think twice about me leaving, but they all went out of their way to show how much they cared. It was unexpected and nice and touching.

All my stuff is at my new apartment, except my computer, because we don't have internet there yet. It's just sitting on the floor of my otherwise completely empty old room. I really love my new apartment, and I can't wait until it's all unpacked and decorated and everything. I realized last night what a great location it's in -- there are so many places within walking distance (which for me is about three blocks). Tonight I get to go shopping for random apartment things, which will be fun.

I had a conversation the other day that made me realize what a bad person I am.

Me: I have good news! My class was canceled, so now I have all day to move!
Derek: Oh, really, why was it canceled?
Me: Death in the family!
Then there was just an awkward silence for a minute, until we both started laughing.

So I'm going to hell. But at least I have a place to live.

I'm gonna apply to work at a sex toy shop tomorrow. That should be fun.
