It's been kind of a weird weekend so far. Good, but weird.
Work was strange last night. Everything just seemed off somehow. The kitchen kept screwing up, either forgetting orders or just getting them wrong. I also found out that the restaurant has just been sold and my current bosses are moving to New Mexico. Supposedly the new owners have said that they want to keep the full staff, but who knows. I don't know if they'll be people I want to work for, or what kind of changes they'll make to the restaurant, or if they'll shut it down for awhile to remodel or rework things. I've worked there for almost a year and a half, and I really don't want to have to start over somewhere else. It's a really unsettling feeling, not knowing if you'll have a job in a month or two. I don't know if I should start looking for something else now or just wait and see how it goes.
After work I went out and joined JuniorDeputy's white trash pubcrawl. I got a guy to let me write ILUV DICK on his knuckles in sharpie. It was a really good night.
Then at work tonight I mildly electrocuted myself. I was trying to unplug something with wet hands, and before I knew it my arm was shaking and I screamed and fell on the ground. I felt really weird for the next hour or two, but it was probably just psychosomatic. I think I just scared myself more than anything else. I don't know, it was weird though. I've never done anything like that before.
Tonight after work I went to the aforementioned housewarming party. I missed most of the goings on, but did get there in time for the tail end of a water balloon fight, and for the start of half-naked twister. It was fun, and really good to see everyone.
It's weird to me how soon the end of the quarter is. I haven't really gone to any classes in the last month or so. I'm wondering how much of an impact that's going to have on finals. I guess we'll see soon enough.
