I've been so happy lately and now I'm miserable and I can't stop crying. My mom's going to loan me the money I was going to get from her tax return whenever that came, so I should barely be able to cover everything, but that doesn't really make me feel any better. I hate borrowing money and I've never had to before (except once my freshman year), especially because she can't really afford it either. I feel so horrible and selfish to have to turn to her. I'm also realizing that there's no way I'm going to be able to afford a new prom dress, much less a hotel room, so that may be out too. Mostly I'm just mad at myself for letting this happen. I kind of hate myself right now. No, not kind of.

UPDATE: Things are definitely looking up. I did my state taxes, and found out I'm getting like $400 back, so that will help a lot, and the guy won't be able to take his car in for a couple weeks, so that gives me some more time to get that money together. I won't have to borrow money, at least not for the time being. I'm much happier.
