Your computer.... if you kicked it off the bed and it won't turn on, it could be anything. I don't have a whole lot of familiarity with iBooks. If you think it can be fixed by replacing the power cord, it would be worth calling the Apple store to begin with and see if they have a replacement for your iBook. See what their refund policy is if it turns out the power cord isn't the problem. No harm in asking.
If that doesn't work, I'd just call Apple support and see what they recommend. Anyway... sorry I couldn't be more help.
