Today is the last day of my twenties.
Tomorrow I will be a thirty-something, wish me luck.

Turning thirty has put me in a reflective mood.
Unlike alot of people I don't worry about getting older. It's surprising to me just how many people view reaching this age with a wild fear. They seem to break out in sweats at the thought of being beyond their sell by date.
I don't worry about feeling "past it" at all because I've always belived that it's never too late to try your hand at whatever it is that you want to do.
However, it is for me the "whatever it is that you want to do" part that continues to trouble me.
I'm a drifter, I always have been. Personally speaking, I've never really been able to focus on one thing and do it well. A jack of all trades etc etc.
If there is such a thing as a birthday resolution then mine centres around this. I need to set myself some specific goals. A sort of "things to do before I'm forty" list.
The big one that keeps coming up for me is the idea of going back to school. I've toyed with this suggestion for the last five years or so (yes, procrastination is an issue for me) but I've never really been able to settle on how to achieve this. Now I have a family it all seems like an even bigger task but one that I'm still very much interested in.
Watch this space.

Other news.
Saw a great film the other day. Ondi Timoner's "Dig".
I'd heard alot about it and always had a sneaky eye out for it. Finally I found a copy in the bargain bin at my nearest video rental place.
Those of you that like music and a bit of car crash T.V. will appreciate it.
Heres a clip of a record company showcase gone wrong. Look out for the quality quote,
"You fucking broke my sitar, motherfucker!"

Hey! I just wanted to stop by and thank you for being a member of the Concerts Group. The Summer Concert Season is almost upon us, so I'd love to have you throw a review into the group if you happen to catch any great (or not-so-great) shows this year. And if you know of anyone who might like the group... send 'em our way. The more the merrier!! Have a great summer! ♥
