Woo! My divorce is finally final! I got the papers today that said everything was done. I'm not so much ecstatic as I am relieved. The absurdity of the kafkaesque bureaucracy they make you navigate to get a mutually agreed-upon, no-possessions, simple-as-possible divorce had been causing me a good bit of stress, and I know it was beginning to freak Shal out a bit too. Seriously, we filed the first paperwork in July of 03, for fuck's sake.
Phew.
Today is a good day. Knickers is in town visiting, Shal got a new awesome job this week, my divorce was finalized, we talked to a lawyer about the company and are progressing on that end.
I'm feeling pretty good about this year so far.
