Merry Christmas.

Even if you don't celebrate Christmas, I hope today has been good for you. It's certainly been a great day for me. Nothing particularly earth-shattering happened today. It was simply a very nice day in general, except for the part where the box that hosts our DNS went down and all of our sites were unreachable for a few hours. But really, it's been a wonderful day.

Shal spent the morning with her parents, generously letting me sleep in. Meanwhile, I was having a bizarre dream which involved lots and lots of sex and my piss setting the sewer (and subsequently, a car parked outside) ablaze. Don't ask. I said it was bizarre.

Later, we opened presents. Thank you again, Shal, for everything. I'm not going to provide a laundry list of all I got, but I will mention that I got quite possibly the best boxed set of 80's music out there.

We just got back from seeing The Life Aquatic with Shal's family. It was brilliant.

A moment ago, Shal and I were outside enjoying a smoke, listening to a David Bowie mix I made, and as Ashes to Ashes played, we looked up at the full moon with a ring around it just in time to see a vapor trail pass across the face of the moon, its edges glowing in the light.
