I had a long entry about this being my first blog of the year and recapping a bunch of highlights from last year -- various trips I took with friends, Prom, my surprise 30th birthday party (aka. the best present ever) -- but it took me 3 days to write some four paragraphs, and I decided to scrap the entire thing because if I tried to include every highlight in detail, the entry would've taken me another couple weeks to write, and if I started off as wordy as I had, I'd have to include them all. So fuck it. Last year was pretty good, and I'm thankful to be surrounded by wonderful people, but it can fuck off because I'm ready for the new year.
And on that note, I give you this video I found from Jeffrey Lewis, an "anti-folk" singer/poet/artist I stumbled on while poking around at random Youtube videos. Apparently he's been putting out music for some 10 years, but I'd certainly never heard of him.
