I suppose I can live with the heat we've been having as long as we continue to get sunsets like the ones we've been treated to lately. Sure, it's been in the mid-90's, relentlessly, for over a week. But the sunsets have been absolutely phenomenal.

-----------------------------------
I had some wild dreams last night after getting home from SGLA Wednesday at the Burgundy Room. I won't go into all the vivid details (and no, it wasn't that kind of wild), but it was very Alice in Wonderland-esque. There was a train wreck, a gigantic statue of an ancient warrior, and an abandoned castle that wasn't really abandoned, all in the middle of the suburbs (there was a drainage canal-thingy coming out of the statue). Oh, and the inhabitant of the castle was an old woman having a sort of feast on a giant bed with fruits and grains and whatnot, only it was all centered around a box of sushi, like the kind you can get at the store. It was really, really odd.

------------------------------------
The last two nights have been a lot of fun, but I won't bore you with details, this entry is plenty long enough already. Oh, I can do highlights though:

Idiot Stare kicked ass.

16 Volt allegedly used to kick ass, but have since decided to suck.

All you LA people should say hi to Dolorian (but don't be creepy, dammit! spooky=good, creepy=bad)

The bartender at the Knitting Factory makes good Vanilla Vodka / Ginger Ale drinks, but not as good as Stephanie, the bartender at the Burgundy Room.

Mungo Beer Monkey, the barback at the Burgundy Room, makes the crappiest mixed drinks I've ever had. (Stephanie = good, Mungo = bad)

Jennifer, the DJ at the Burgundy Room, kicks ass. When you hear a block that goes along the lines of: Fear, the Ramones, Elvis Costello, and Bauhaus, you know you're in a good place...well, I do, anyhow.
