Damn! Why does the real world have to come back and smack you in the face with a splintery 2x4 after a weekend of insane fun, reckless abandon, and wild debauchery? Huh?


Ok, that's a bit misleading, I'm not really mad, just a little confused. What follows is a rant, stuff that's been hovering behind me for awhile now. I'm still high off Defcon and whatnot, but with this crap, I'm having all sorts of wild mood swings. It's fun. Yeah. That's it.

I'm at a point in my life where I'm not really doing too terribly much planning into the future, and I might end up running the business I work at now. Oh yeah, that's just right spectacular, except for the fact that I hate the business aspect of my job, and I don't want my work to be my life.

I kind of agreed to take over the company at some point about a year ago when I was married and stable. Now I'm trying to find some way to back out of it, only because I'm probably less stable right now than I've ever been and because it would tie me inextricably to two people who have zero business sense. Honestly, it's slightly miraculous they're not bankrupt or in jail or something.

I decided several months ago that this is not the life I wanted, and started working toward breaking away from it, but like the tentacled quicksand monster, it's trying to pull me back in.
