Well I am happy to report that it is 9:10 AM and I am awake for the day. My methods of getting to sleep I'm not too fond of, but at least I have found one that works every time. For all of you guys out there that need a solution of the one-in-a-while variety, I can tell you that a Promethazine washed down with...

I'm psyched to see The Village, but I detest seeing movies during opening week. So I'll have to wait. ^_-
cybele:
Thanks for the tip. I thought the Sixth Sense was a fabulous flick, but was extremely disappointed by Unbreakable (in fact, I thought it STANK).

Finally got a decent night sleep, by the way. And it only took one cup of chamomile tea to do it. Ha! How are YOU doing with that particular problem, Mr. Night Owl? smile

I got some much needed cleaning done tonight. I'm not going to even tell you how much trash I threw away and how many clothes and dishes were all over the place. I'll just leave you with the impression that I live as tidy as I look. Don't you believe it.

I'll probabaly pull an all nighter again since I have plans at noon and...

I'm sorry I made you worry, honey...I'm here... wink

I love to clean, it's very cleansing of the mind...removing the clutter to think clearly. When my place is clean, I actually call friends to see if I can clean there...*giggle* AND my family LOVES when I come to visit...It may be a disorder, or something.

When does company get there...another week or so? wink
josephene:
Cleaning for cooking...you have a DEAL! What is your specialty? I love to cook, but will be more than happy to pass it off to you if you'd like.

Definitely keep us updated on your girl's arrival and what happens. I'll go ahead and live vicariously through you.

What's going on for you this weekend? By the way, first person ever to call me "Josiekins" I love it! biggrin

Well I gave it three days to collect comments, so I'm moving on. I don't think I'll ever be one of those people that breaks two pages at every post.

Anyway.

It hasn't been so great lately. I know everyone must be bored to death of hearing about my sleeping patterns, but they are backwards again to anyone who might care. My dad just went...

Wow, again, I don't think I can outdo the comment above me. josephene said everything I wanted to say. It took me a few months before I got a lot of friends on here and would have regular commenters. Definitely give it time, and don't be discouraged. And don't think people aren't reading or caring because they don't comment. I know I don't comment if I don't think I have anything useful, interesting or on-topic to say.

I hope things start looking up for you. Shitty times come and go. I think we need them so we appreciate the non-shitty times more.
cybele:
Babe, I have NEVER broken three pages, and I have been here since February of this year. Guess you have to collect a WHOLE lot of VERY attentive friends in order to achieve that little milestone. Anyway, its "quality", not "quantity", right?? (I can just see you rolling your eyes.) smile

Hang in, hon. kiss

PS: Hey! Where'd Josephine go?? Any idea?? Boo hoo. frown

Been a really busy couple days. I stayed up all night before the Funeral, and went right to sleep when I got home afterwards... Even though it was mid-afternoon I slept late into the morning today. I must have been exhausted.

At around 2-5 I went to shoot some pool with my friend Andrew, then after a bite, went to Nathans house to watch some...

I'm surprised I only got 2 responses on such an important post. Thank you both.

It's getting back to normal around here. People are starting to joke again... and schedules are taking back over. It's comforting to just be the way you used to. It will never be the same again without Susan around. But at least it doesnt have to be so drastically different...

also, don't be discouraged, a lot of people scatter over the weekend, especially. I'm glad things are picking up for you and your family. Let us know what they come up with. I hope it's not at the fault of the doctors, that's a tough solution to deal with. Take care!
kiss

Hope everything is going okay, have a good weekend. biggrin

Fuck my stupid petty little sleeping problems. I can't believe I'm so fucking self centered as to worry about that bullshit. There are bigger things.

I was sitting in the living room with my dad not fucking 10 minutes ago when we got a call saying his sister... my aunt, had just died.

I love you Susan. I'll miss you so much.

Oh my god...

Sorry for not being around much lately, but I've been so busy. I hope you're okay. Things will get better...I promise.

hmmm...so sorry to hear about your aunt...the shock has a way of pulling you out of your skin. You're in my thoughts...I hope your family finds comfort being with one another. Take care... kiss

My methods might not have been the healthiest in the world, but they worked, or at least helped.

I managed to nap several times yesterday but only enough to make it harder on myself in the long run - I finally got a full nights rest last night after taking a Promethazine and drinking 2 Shiner Bocks. I'm a little out of it this afternoon,...

Well shit. I really wanted to leave the pictures up for a couple more days so anyone that missed them could see - but stuff has happened I deem worth to post about... So if you want to see my pictures from the Horrorpops just go to my previous entry, or be patient until I upload them into my pic section.

Anyway.

The past couple...

God, I know -- insomnia can be AGONY! If possible, I would avoid coffee or taking anything for a while, which will perhaps allow your body to get back to its natural rhythms. Exercising like crazy helps me when I go through periods of insomnia. That and a few nights of hard drinking, which I'm certainly not suggesting you do. wink

May Mr. Sandman pay you a visit soon. smile
josephene:
Indeed insomnia is the quiet monster. I can relate, my problem is I don't want to sleep because I'll miss something, yeah, don't ask...*giggle* My only suggestion, limit your caffeine intake. If it persists, you may want to see a doctor...no sleep can affect every part of your life, and it's never good to go for long periods of time getting little or no sleep.

Good luck to you, and have a great weekend! Hope you get some sleep!

I've enjoyed seeing 'em!! Looks like the Horrorpops put on a helluva good (and fun!) show! Tell me more about them...(please). smile

PS: The guitarist looks a lot like my neighbor, Matt. (Also in a band.)

Very cool man, I skipped out on that show when it came through here and now I can't even remember why. Must be the effects of aging. Anyway, looks like a good time was had and I dunno about anyone else, but I always appreciate seeing show pictures.

Tonight was pretty typical. On the bad side I slept all damn day, and that just messes up my sleeping to the point of no return. *sigh*

On a plus note I got my pictures back from the Horrorpops, including one of me and Kim Nekroman. I'll try to get them posted tomorrow sometime for you all to see... I went to Kinkos to do...
