Kings of Nuthin is tonight! From what I can tell its a good Psycho / Rockabilly band. It has a good beat and a horn section so it really feels vintage other than the lyrics. I've liked what I've heard so far... plus the opening bands are actually decent for a change. Even apart from the show, this is a big night for our little scene. I don't know what everyone else's plans are, but me and everyone I know is coming out... plus people from are coming down from Tulsa and up from Dallas. It's gonna bring the rockabilly cats up out of the woodwork and I doubt there will be many annoying people there as nobody has really heard of them around town except the people that like that kind of shit. It's definately a good set up for a good night.

To talk about my day though, I hit the pawnshops and thrift stores and found the buy of a lifetime... brace yourselves. For 4 dollars... I picked up... A Members Only jacket. Evny me... for I am the coolest cat you've ever seen (20 years ago).

Birthday is Sunday! I know I'll just spend it playing pool and hanging out, but I couldn't ask for much else. I always like getting my way for a whole day. Hopefully we'll come up with something special to do, but I'm cool with just relaxing. I'll get a new cue that day with a snazzy case, and a few bucks to throw into my tattoo fund.
