A quick update, for those who may care:

I've been laid up for the past week (as of tomorrow) with the worst cold I've had in years. It feels like my head and lungs have been packed with mud. Luckily, this coincided with midterms week (culminating in my Physics midterm tonight) in what has been one the more trying semesters ever. And in the midst of all this, I had to figure out what to get my girlfriend for her 26th birthday (a watch). So things have been fucked, and I have done very little of interest outside of my apartment for quite some time.

Good stuff that's happened: my girlfriend and I celebrated her 26th birthday by going out to dinner and a movie. We saw "City of God," which was sooooooooooooooo kick-ass. Great time.

And the Saturday before last I went out drinking with an old friend. As usual, I had one too many (which for me is two), and managed to say and do some pretty embarrassing shit. Then someone handed me yet another drink, and woh boy. I don't remember much after that, outside of making some rather crude pederast joke that I pretty sure didn't win me any new friends. In fact, I vaguely remember my friend TAKING BACK the last drink at that point. It was probably for the best. Lesson learned.

Anyway, that's that. I'm starting to feel much better, as of today. Hopefully after tonight things will settle down and I can get back to the panty-dropping experience I like to call "my motherfucking life, yo."
