I'm really taking this "Tom being in California" thing harder than I thought I would. It's only the 5th day, he'll be gone for 7 more, and I cried myself to sleep last night (ok, so that's a little overdramatic).
Maybe it's because of the holidays. Maybe it's because my body is absolutely exhausted from moving furniture and painting a room w/ no help. Maybe it's because I started my period today. Probably all three.
I miss him in Texas while he's at work! I've lived with him for 2 years, of course 12 days is tough!

I didn't buy a single gift this year, which is extremely out of character... but aside from my sister Gloria, I didn't receive a single gift, either. I know my parents are having financial difficulties this year, and I'm still gonna hook them up because I love them. It'll just be in Jan, which is also Gloria's birthday month, so I'll get her something nice for thinking of me.
The fact that I didn't receive gifts from anyone else really isn't shocking. I don't think I have in the past 5 years, even though I've been on the giving end and made myself broke to do so every year.
I'm still so fucking broke, I want to go out tonight but I'm trying to decide whether or not I should play the lotto w/ this furniture I'm trying to sell on Craigslist. If I spend the little money I have tonight, I'll be broke until these things sell and if they don't sell then I'll be FUCKED!
I don't really NEED money, I have gas and we have groceries and the rent & bills are paid, but I'm in DIRE need of a cheap dresser for my nephews room, some thumbtacks, and a shower curtain rod to hang up closet curtains in his room. The only "giving" I'm doing this Christmas is his bedroom. I painted it yesterday, I've bought him a new desk and desk things/decorations, and I'm flattening a bunch of video game posters in between my mattresses for his walls.
Bah fucking humbug.
