I'm getting a $200 dollar bonus on my next check. It's going to get taxed up the ass, but I still think it's kind of cool.

I won this cheesy competition at our work called Staffmark Idol. People submit their entries from branches all over the country and shit, and it's basically a monthly competition to see how creative you can get when it comes to recruiting and getting people in the door. You have to first win Regional, which gets you $50, then you go National. Our intranet website pops up everytime we log into our VPN, and theres a place everyone votes to decide who the national winner will be. The prize is $150.

Definitely going on my resume.

Yes it's very difficult news to handle. Calvin is otherwise perfectly healthy his heart is just working faster and harder than it needs to. We're over the major hysteria of the situation although uttering the words "My son is going to have heart surgery" can't be done without tears rolling from our eyes. We pray to God every night which isn't something we normally did until we had our baby. He's going to be just fine, we have opted for the non-invasive technique of the amplatzer implant as our first attempt at fixing the artery and hopefully we'll be done with it. It's a one-time fix and should take less than 2 hours. I'll call you when we find out the surgery date.

Shane's party was awesome except I almost had to slap the shit out of his girl-toy.
