I guess it's so cold that it sucks the heat out of your skin and it's kind of like freezer burn. It fucking hurts though, but you have to hang onto it for a few seconds. If you keep moving it, like a "hot potato" thing, it won't burn you.

meh. it's not that I think the population is doomed to failure because people want to flock here and grow roots, it's that the people flocking here tend to be either jerks, idiots, bad drivers, litterbugs, egotistical, frantic, unfriendly, or any combination of the afore mentioned. I was born here, and I did grow up in the same house I've lived in for nigh 25 years, but the difference is, I adapt to the other places that I go. I put myself in that particular place at that particular time and I don't try to change it to what I'm used to. I get used to being in a new place with new customs. People moving here are bringing their comfort zone with them rather than adapting to what makes Austin Austin. That's my problem with it. When I was growing up Austin always had this reputation of being eco-friendly, well-read, tech savvy, politically savvy, culture rich, and groovy. With each year that passes, as more and more people come in from outside, it gets less like Austin. They're closing places like Las Manitas, the Backroom, and Liberty Lunch. They're ploping a Walmart down on southpark meadows. Each person is adding another car to the roads. I don't mind if they visit, but I'm really getting tired of people moving here. oh well.
