And G-d hates me. Or the automotive industry does. I haven't really decided which.
My car blew up on the way out to the wedding Saturday evening; anti-freeze all over the inside of the hood. Exxxxcellent.
So I sat in my car, waiting for my parents to come get me, screaming obscenities at the top of my lungs across the street from a church. People stared. I didn't care. There was anger. Lots of it. That car is cursed. And I probably can't afford to get another one. Errrgh.
I finally made it to the wedding reception and got a little toasted to calm myself down.
I was mad I missed the wedding, I guess it was really nice. And Teresa looked gorgeous and she looked so happy, which rumour has it, is the whole point of a wedding.
Who knew?
Highlight of the evening: Amber, unbeknownst to me, goes to find out about the boy I wanted as a party favour... She runs into him standing with his mom (turns out he's the groom's nephew), and she tells him "blah blah blah my friend thinks you're cute", he blushes big time, and his mother says, "Well she'll have to pick him up, he hasn't got his learner's permit yet." ....
I felt filthy.
Without the car, I missed the Irish Festival in Dublin yesterday. This angered me immensely as I'd been looking forward to seeing my kinfolk stumbling about, drunken and seriously sunburned, searching for sunblock.
I did finally see 'The Return of the King' though. The gay hobbit love was really blatant. I was a wee-bit bothered. Ok, a lot-bit bothered.
My weekend wasn't too horrible though. I can be optimistic damnit.
How was everyone else's weekend? Give me great stories of road trips, badger-poking, and illegal toe-licking. Or whatever it is you did. I like stories.
