I met a fantastic young lady via internet dating a couple of weeks ago. Having been on msn everyday leading up to it, I was optimistic about the first date. It was everything I hoped for and more. I'd planned to go visit her the following weekend (she lives 2hrs away). The next morning I was somewhat aghast when she said things didn't feel right due to still having feelings for her ex (of a year ago). Nevertheless we still carried on chatting pretty much everyday on msn. I was, needless to say, a little confused. So I told her if she changed her mind she had my number, but to stop pulling at my heart strings by chatting everyday. For the next couple of days her facebook statuses indicated she wasn't too happy about the situation and to be honest neither was I. When it said '...is finding it hard, but knows it's for the best' I weakened and started talking to her again. Turns out I'd been reading things right and she'd been feeling down without being able to talk to me. She's now changed her mind and decided to make a go of it, just taking things slowly. Everyday we talk it feels like I'm walking on sunshine. I'm going up to stay this weekend. I'm cautiously optimistic everything will stay according to plan this time. Once bitten, twice shy and all that.
