Coffee shop girl update
One considers the Bjrk concert tonite her "Burning man," which sort of frightens me a little... sort of... The second apparently is good at riding the mechanical bull, which confirms the fact that she is just fuckin' cool.
I don't know how I feel about Bjrk. The name itself evokes that old drinking joke about sellin' Buicks
Now if you drink to much you could say, "I'm going to Bjork concert."
I know some people (mostly women) that adore Bjrk (who definetly would be offended by the previous joke). I mean the costumes and whole freak show act is... very creative.. and is beautiful, but the music... well, I'll just say.. it is not my thing, but I am so eclectic in my music choices. One day i'm listening to Mahler and the next NIN. I can appreciate people who appreciate Bjrk. For the most part, most poeple who like Bjrk seem pretty cool and intelligent. There is an air of fanaticism when I hear some women talk about Bjrk. Like the coffee shop girl who is going to dress up for the concert. When she started talking about it, I found myself slowly backing away wondering "what would bring someone to that point?" But I remember my teenage years of going to Iron Maiden concerts and being the same way. Except I never really dressed up, but I was pretty fanactical. I guess I get naturally freaked aout by any hint of fantacism in general. And it is not fanaticism per se other than she is just into this show. I guess that is what she meant by her "Burning Man" comment in that this event is an excuse to dress up and be a freak for a while, for her, and I can appreciate that.
