Don't be surprised if after Sep. 11 I turn evil. It is not anything to do with terrorism or politics. That is my court date for the ticket I got yesterday for running a stop sign. Problem is, I am positive that I stopped at that sign. Not once, but twice since I was behind another car. Even if for some reason I thought the car was stopped and it was actually still moving, how fast could my car have possibly been going to give me the illusion of non-motion???

I'm sorry, but I thought the police were around to 'protect and serve' not 'be petty and make paranoid'. The shittiest part is no matter how positive I am that I did stop completely there's no way a judge is going to listen to me. The best I can hope for is to explain that if i didn't stop it was by such a narrow margin that I should not be charged the same fine as someone who went through without slowing down at all. I really did stop and look both ways and all that cop has to say is "no he didn't" and I'm boned. Pretty much he could say that I went through without stopping or looking or slowing down at all with my middle finger out the window and a flag in the back that said "I H8 PEDESTRIANS". Jerk off.

So if all of a sudden there's no Batman anymore and all that's left is a bitter supervillian after the 11th you'll know my court date didn't go so well.
