I'll hug my father when I get to CO Sunday. I'll even give my mother a hug, just because I'm a good son.

Of course, my mother will think I'm up to something since I do not initiate hugs, I'll profess my innocence, she'll poke me, I'll say some naughty word, she'll poke my father because "He's YOUR son", my father will say a naughty word, she'll poke him again, I'll laugh at his misfortune, she'll poke me...and somewhere in those shenanigans, she'll give me cookies.
