I've had the best couple of days. As I mentioned before, the Hardcore Ljubljana CD is out and available for purchase. I also had an amazingly good day yesterday.
I met up with my lady friend in St Pete for brunch at this cool little diner I found. We both got suitably wired on coffee and maple syrup. No no no...we didn't drink the syrup in our coffee or like Super Troopers. I had pancakes and she had this big ass Belgian waffle.
Afterwards we went across the street and shopped around at this really nice used bookstore. I picked up a couple of books that looked interesting and also pick up an Italo Calvino that she recommended.
Then it was off to the Dali museum for a couple of hours. I've been wanting to go there ever since I moved to Tampa but no one I know was interested in going. Very cool museum. The miniature castings of Dali's sphincter was the highlight of the whole thing.
After the museum we headed off to Tarpon Springs for some Greek for lunch. We walked around the sponge docks for a while until we found a promising place to eat. We gorged on super yummy Greek salads, pitas, and three kinds of pita spreads. We were soooooo stuffed afterwards and had to walk around some more just to keep from falling asleep from gorging. Talk about some cheezy shit being sold down there! $150 for this ceramic Leprauchan thing that had "authentic pieces of the Blarney Stone!!" ummm...yeah right.
It was still pretty early so we decided a movie sounded pretty good. I'm a sucker for cartoons so we decided on Shrek 2. Not a bad sequel at all. It was so fun listening to the kids in the theater. Everytime there was an on-screen fart the whole theater would just light up with little shrieks of delight. Too fun!
That was a great day!

I ordered the CD today through PayPal and I put up a notice over on Thorp to let those kids know about it too. I can't wait to hear it.
