Ok WARNING THIS COULD BE A LONG ONE!!
What a weekend! Man I tell you what....I live in Paradise! but..first things first.
Got a call from the guitarist from the last band I was in....( I left because he was a tad "controlling"..and would not let me have the freedom I wanted on the bass)..and he totally, and very humbly, apologized for being a nazi, and asked me to join the band again....I was shocked! But stoked, so I am back in!
Saturday morning surfed with the drummer...had a killer session, good for the rhythym section to bond....very cool guy and an excellent drummer. Took Elvis to dog beach in the afternoon, had a blast....he was extra fired up to be there...watching dogs interact is trully entertaining. Lounged in the afternoon and practised the bass for a few hours.
Got up Sunday morning and headed to the beach....only to discover the best conditions I have seen in a while, and its been good here for like a month....totally glassy, warm sun rising....1-2 feet overhead with clean sections.....and hardly anyone out! Mothers day I guess.....anyway...man I did not want to get out of the water....a most spiritual experience....left the water very "buzzed"! Did the mom's day thing....fun...then home to surf AGAIN with a bro...not as good but equally as fun...can you say noodle arms.....man I am beat! So worth it though.
So all in all an awesome weekend.....and to answer the many questions I get about being so "happy"....the answer is yes...I am digging my life....BUT its because I have chosen to make the best of whatever has been thrown my way....and trust me, it has taken some serious effort to get past some of the BS I had been dealt...that being said....yeah I am pretty frickin happy!!! And f course I will share with anyone who needs it! Let me know and I will hook you up with some good lovin vibes!
I sincerely hope everyone has a great monday...its another opportunity to do something cool, make someone smile, make yourself smile!!! So DO IT!!!!!
