how was your evening?
Mine was wine-filled and most pleasant smile
I watched (and was underwhemled by) Kill Bill.
It was over-cool, I thought.

I hope you are fine and well.
cretinsa11:
sounds interesting?

I've been to see my grandparents today. Although i don't go over there very much it's always great to see them. My grandmother is diagnosed with alzheimer's. She still clear and here, but everybody knows that will change in the future. It made me kind of sad to see how they are coping together, in their 80s and still living on their own.

They are...

one homemade chicken sandwich. butter, a little bit of salt all between granary bread

then in the afty I went to a noodle bar with some friends and had some soba noodles.
yummy.

Tonight's dilemma is: do I take after bassgirl's idea of having a no fuss takeaway pizza or use up left overs, which are still quite yum, but always less inspiring than freshly made stuff?

Take your point about anchois.
Check out: gentlemen's relish
sometime.

I'm sure ladies can try it too.... smile

Would that pizza be in the Neneh Cherry style (huh, sukka?) wink

I went for leftovers, because either I am:
- too stingy and didn't want to fork out for pizza eeek
- or I am a right-on ecological warrior who doesn't like throwing away food unnecesarily.

The choice... is yours.
smile

You not working tonight?
Am going to get a glass of whisky now.

PS- I will be checking out Kikujiro shortly then. I find Takeshi Kitano incredibly attractive. I mean as a cinematographer , but also physically - he looks really interesting... haven't even seen Battle Royale! Note to self: special trip to blockbuster tomorrow......

...with a bang? Sounds like you've been having fun smile The freediving stuff is great, there's nothing quite like being really quiet in the water and blending in with the fish - I could never do that scuba diving, the bubbles and all!

Doing it outside huh? Where's the craziest place you've done it? For me I think it was a busy outdoor public pool biggrin
donnythebull:
anchovy or not?

So, finally finished harry potter smile so now i can go back to the intelligent and intellectual stuff wink
reading the last page of the novel meant that my 'official' holiday is over and that i have to get start doing some serious research. Although i look forward to it, it's always hard to start, especially in the middle of the summer wink But it's nice to have...

Have a smashing weekend.

Sounds like you're procrastinating like me on the theses front - must say though that yours is WAY more fun than mine... but since you asked. My thesis is the completion of a detailed human health risk assessment for a property that was once used as a target range (80 years) and the city now wants to convert it into a public park - serious lead, copper, antimony, arsenic contamination. So, I'm looking at the toxicological risks and though I'm not there yet, suspect I'll be recommending that some serious remedial efforts be done before any further consideration of parks wink

Have a great weekend love

It's interesting to see that people offer to be your 'friend' without any introduction or anything smile

Maybe i'm a virgin about the ways things are going around here wink But to me, introducing myself as a friend only applies when i at least have something in common with someone...

Argh, what a lousy day!

Starting the day with one of those horrible break-up arguments with my exboyfriend. Can't stand it why breaking up must be so difficult most of the times, even when there are two sane wink people involved and no one cheated on the other or anything. It's like you're almost forced into a position where you have to get into fights with...

I like that Paglia book. It's even better because it made her so unpopular in the States.

I have a question about your thesis- are you going to talk about the ways in which heterosexual females are able to try out alternative sexualities through sites like SG, without having to commit to them in the offline world? I see plenty of avowedly hetero girls on here using the love emoticon and sort of panting with lust after other girls, while also disavowing any lesbian feelings. I don't mean to question their allegiance towards one orientation or another, but it's interesting to see the interplay between the online, girl-loving persona and the offline (straight) reality.

Anyway, welcome to the site!

Just a quick word smile
After handing in my proposal i immediately got sick, guess i had it coming. Working to hard, not sleeping enough, ignoring every sign of my body saying it had it enough smile

But being sick (at least at this time) is kind of good in a way, you can spend the whole day in bed watching bad movies (because you're sick and...

For the record, this the prototype of my thesis wink

My thesis will be about the question how young feminist women use sites (like SG) to show their own sexuality, desires and be proud of it. By doing so they can create a new way of thinking about female sexuality (which is a hot item in feminist thinking at the moment) and also an example for...

sounds interesting... I for one want to hear more about it... I'm interested in things like this smile smile smile that and David Cronenberg
h2o:
Very interesting smile

I just read an article about how young men who play sports are commonly avoiding the traditional after-game shower and are becoming increasingly shy and 'weirded out' with respect to being seen naked by their peers. What is that all about? Could it be that women are now becoming more confident in their sexuality and men are becoming less and less confident? Is it related?

Must admit though I'd way rather be standing naked in a room full of women, than in a room full of men wink

Good luck with your thesis!

Yes! My proposal got accepted!
This means i can spend 6 months on researching the things that interest me and even get paid for it...
