I'd received an email at the beginning of April from a local spa called Urbana.

Well I filed it away thinking that I'd get to booking some time with them well before April was over & done with. I happened to visit Urbana in late March to sample their tea bar & bought some tea. Yesterday I was looking at the email & thinking, " Shit! April is almost over... I have to book a massage." So I called them up & booked their Olympian. My masseuse was Elizabeth. She looked small but not frail. I've found that women generally have more power at their disposal to focus into their massage techniques than guys do. Besides its easier to talk to the ladies while I'm lying on a table than guys, though I have had masseuses of both genders.
Anyhow... I filled out a form in the lounge & was led back to a room. I stripped down & slid under the covers. The table was heated & it could be raised up & down!
I was a mess. I had so much tension stored up in my back, shoulders & neck that I was surprised that I could stand upright. Elizabeth got rid of all the apparent knots as well as all the rest of the knots that were hiding all over my body. There were some tender areas & some other areas that hurt but overall it was a deeply relaxing 90 minutes.
Urbana's Birkdale Village location is having a half off special till the end of May. If you're in the Charlotte area sign up on the website & check them out. They're definitely a treat in this urban blight of Crown Town.
I have a regular masseuse that I see once a month & she's great... But the level of pampering that Urbana provides is in a class of its own.
