Indianapolis bound!
So today I'm headed to indianapolis. I'll be there all week. Let's just hope that my actual trip is better than the flight there. Car comes and picks me up at 5am....so I'm already slight irritable. When I get to the airport I try and save myself some aggravation by checking a bag...because the same lady on american airlines for every single time I travel (which is a lot) always makes me measure the same bag that I use on every trip. By checking I won't get pissed and slam my bag into that holder and nearly break my laptop again. I go through security and as usual they need to inspect my bag. They lay out everything in the bag....most of which is camera gear and then pull out three small metal tubes. These things are just metal parts but TSA thinks they are dangerous. I repeat they are only 3 aluminum tubes. They make me gather all my shot and go check them. So now I have to find something to check them in and the lady charges me 35 bucks to check it even though they would have easily fit in my first by tha cost 25! And she lectures me that I should know you can't take metal parts on a plane!!!! What??? And then I have to go back through security....which even they they had to check my laptop twice this time! It's like harass anthony day. The f'ed up part is...the made me check the metal tubes but let me keep rifle flash suppressors because those are okay! I hate American airlines. At least my flight was on time.....but they have driven me to the bar at 9am!
