Thank you to all those that wished my friend well. And thanks for the uplifting words on my behalf as well. Sometimes it feels as though I'll never be able to see beyond the darkness. But I always do.

My friends surgery did not go well. It was supposed to just be a short-stay in and out procedure. She ended up having to go under twice (two surgeries) and stay overnight. She's home and healing now.

Everyone, particularly the hospital staff, was amazed that I stayed with her all day and into the night. I'm not trying to toot my own horn or win 'friend of the year' award it just amazes me that they were all so...amazed. Have we become that uncaring as a society that a friend sticking it out for another friend is that unheard of??? What a dismal and scary thought.

Those thanks were meant for you as well sweety. Every time you take the time to post, to let me know that you are out there, and that i am a friend in some way, means something, dont think that the thanks did not include you, i consider you a friend.
Kudos to you, your friend is lucky to have a caring soul about to assist in the painful times, you deserve the friend of the year award from her, and it is sad that the world is like it is, and that i must teach my daughter the dark side of life, to protect her from it as best i can.

I hope that none of us sees dark days, and that eventually the world grows tired of wasting wishes and does something to make things better for the new generations. I hope they succeed where we so miserably failed. I have faith that they will.

Much love, and keep peering into the darkness, you are bound to find your way.

that is a sad thought, but the silver lining is that you are a good enough friend to stay with her! its shocking how few people are really there in times of greatest need. i bet that you encouraged the staff about humanity in general.

and yes, there is always a brighter future, although sometimes its hard to see. wishing you much brightness and light. and continued improvement to your friend. kiss
