My stress level these last few days has been at an all time high. 13+ hour days at work, the eyes of the entire company on me, trying to impress the CEO and other execs. To make matters even better: I have to take my car in for body work for the 3rd time in less than a year. All accidents, not my fault! God...

2-1 good guys! I only wish I had been able to watch the game. I will be glued to the 4th game on Sunday. Aretha Franklin will sing the national anthem, Detroit will win...all will be right with the world.
Words to ponder:
"We're here," says Mehmet Okur, "and we're not going anywhere. We're playing a great team, but we're a great team, too."

Not to be a pesimist, but keep in mind the Laker's got smoked at home twice by the Spurs, only to sweep them in the next four. They are a fucking dangerous team! Whenever they "needed" a win against my Wolvies, they looked like a totally different team. Frankly, it was scary.

you know i was going to make a comment about you having to get the finger wave but after reading your journal entry i think i will refrain!

All men have secrets and here is mine
So let it be known
We have been through hell and high tide
I can surely rely on you ...
And yet you start to recoil
Heavy words are so lightly thrown
But still I'd leap in front of a flying bullet for you
So, what difference does it make ?

DUUUUDE, I can't believe the Pistons almost pulled that one off. What's the dealio with all these last minute Laker heroics? I hate the Laker's, and I think part of me wanted to see them win, just because they took out the Wolves (the ol', "hey, but we lost to the world champions"). But hot damn... I'd love to see the Piston's beat the snot out of the fucking Laker's!!!
Thanks for the gin consumption.

How about... instead of one GT (Gin & Tonic), you drink several?!?
I tried having a drinkie with my roomates last night, and that didn't fly right. I feel like I've already got a couple down this morning, yet haven't had a drop.

Yeah, Stereolab is amazing.
There the one band that always satisfies no matter what mood I'm in.
I tend to spend more time deciding what music I want to listen to than actually listening (well, not really - but you probably know what I mean).
I love how intellectual it is without being condescending.
And hypnotic without being repetitive.
And of course, that voice!
Notice you like Rothko and Pollock too.
I used to volunteer at a gallery with one of each.
My "job" was to help people realise these weren't just blocks of colour or scribbles!!
Do you have a favourite Fellini film.
I certainly have a favourite *scene* if not a favourite film.
The Ecclesiastical Fashion Show for Roma is priceless.
Do you happen to know what film it is where the families row out to see the cruise ship???
That's another unforgettable scene.
I'm rambling a bit.....
