Ah, Thursday...it finds me in the fair town of Portland. Here for work and hope to add fun to the mix. Planned to go to the Franz Ferdinand show, but it turns out my friend, who I thought was getting tickets did not. Guess what, the show is sold out! frown blackeyed

"Do you know any English?"

"Son of bitch, shit!"

My mother just told me she's disappointed in me. I am the news editor at the paper. Next semester I will be managing editor. The following semester I will be editor in chief. I work 40 hours a week and I get paid for 20. I am the project manager of my technical writing class project. I take care of my cat. I have a social life. For the most part, I get my homework done.

She's pissed because I am only taking 12 credit hours as opposed to 16 and because I gave in and said I was going to graduate in 5 years instead of 4.

"This semester is not going the way I planned," she said.

WHAT THE HELL?! THE WAY YOU PLANNED?! I don't know what to do anymore.

The government is paying for my education. My dad gives me some money every month to help me with rent because I get paid $3/hr compared to what I'm working. But they don't give me money for tuition.
