Well it has been a while... First off I only got a 2:2 for my degree, this shames and upsets me but truth be told doesn't surprise me at all. I got a stable job at an office, working 9-5 5 days a week for te rest of the summer, its horrific, I know why guys in suits are the most likely to off themselves now, most of them never accomplish anything. I celebrated 2 years with my GF on tuesday, which would have been nicer had I been well but as things are I've felt awful for well over a week now, the recent heat hasn't helped either. Talking of the recent heat why am I not surprised that every Media outlet in the UK is saying "Don't worry about doing anything to prevent global warming, it'll sort itself out", the media has the right to print what it likes but it has no right to out and out lie to people. Daisy's been really affected by the heat, she's been eating very little and has a bit of a chset bug but she's getting better now at least
UPDATE: well I got laied off today, and then offered another job a a warehouse, packing foods into freezers/trucks. its horrible hours (4pm-midnight) but its a pay raise...
UPDATE UPDATE: OK it turns out my new job just involves packing food items into cages... whilst being in a giant fridge, I work at 2 degrees C for 8 hours, which given the current weather is nice but still my fingers and nose get cold really quick.
TBH SG is increasingly waneing in my interest, inspite of being a memeber for over a year I feel that while the girls themselves are the same as ever the quality of poster is declining. the politics board is dominated by up-their-own-arses pseudo-intulectual closed-minded left wingers and 3-4 very stupid right wingers who feel the need to bitch about everything because they're in the minority. The music forum is as abysmal as ever with all the art-rock snobs venting their purile opinions in increasingly worthless threads that discuss nothing... As the forums were part of reason I signed up then the temptation ot go private has been strong of late, its been made even stronger because of how hit/miss the news has become here.
Ah well, I see my housemates at graduation next week (El got a 2:1, Mat and Joey gots 1st's BTW so yay for them
), Celtic Frost is in 27 days which should be a lot of fun.
