i was supposed to go to bed early. fuck that - i slept in until 12 this morning and yah i know my clock is all fucked up what else.
diggin thru old 4-track tapes and found a few gems. one song i had written and forgotten in the same 3 month period in fall of 2001. it's a bit depressing and ironic - although i never write about anything personal ever, the lyrics are summing up my breakup of 2005 to some degree. i know it's just fluff and nothing, but i'm not down with being sentimental at this stage. still too fresh a wound...
anyway the 4-track is out because i'm going to HAVE FUN WITH IT for the first time in many many months. THAT used to be fun to me, and i miss it. plus i'm tired of frying my eyeballs at this computer. and the video game plan didn't pan out - ya know, that plan where playing video games becomes an appropriate distraction from other forms of self entertainment? sounds pretty sweet - well it is, it's just not working out.
