Hello everyone. Sorry for the lack of responce to journals and stuff. I'm still working hard on my cookbook. I hope to wrap things up on monday or tuesday. Then I have to go to Waco to get it printed. My brother can print it for me at a 10th of what I have found around here. So instaed of only starting with 10 I can start with 125. In total it will cost me about $200. I have 2 other people helping me type things up, but as of yet I have not recieved anything from them. One of them has had over a week and at last count she had 7 done (and they were in the wrong program). Hopefully the other one can catch things up for me. She has only had things for a day now. Hopeflly she can get things to me on sunday. I need to get as much as I can done tonight because I won't be able to work on it tomorrow night. I have to work tomorrow from 8:30am to probably around midnight. And then be back to work on sunday at 9:00am.
I have check's to turn in. I have around $750 so far. But I have a long way to go to get to $4,000. If anyone is intrested in a cookbook let me know. I will be selling them for $30.00. $25.00 of each will go to charity and $5.00 goes to me to help cover the cost of printing and pay my friends for all the hard work they are putting in. Anyone that has been to a local event knows how good some of the recipes are. Some of them are the ones I use every week at work.

wow that is sweet making your own cookbook. that would be like if i could use my chosen profession to help people. but at this point i'd just be happy if i could pay the bills making costumes. you rule.
oh yeah...my boss and the expiration dates is one battle i feel no shame in waging. someone's got to keep her incompetent ass in check, and if we get caught like that we would be shut down, besides being sued and possibly endangering lives.
yeah so we are SO INCREDIBLY LUCKY that when we got a surprise health inspection they only looked at out milks, our refrigerators, our machines, our vents and not also our candy and packaged merchadise for sale. we would have been shut down for sure given that the caramels that she had just put in a basket on the shelf were all over a month expired by that date. what an idiot.
