Hello All. Hope everybody is having a wonderful V-Day today.
Well I just finished putting out my 300 fund-raising letters. Man that was a lot of work (not to mention expensive, all costs of printing and postage come out of my pocket). I have finally started to see some response from my first mailing. So far I have gotten 6 back. They are coming in slowly but surely. I now have about $200 of the $4000 I plan on raising. I'm still working on the cookbook, although it is going to cost more than I expected to get printed. If anybody is interested in one and would like to pre-order one shoot me an e-mail or something. Hope to have something together by the end of the week or early next week. I will keep you all posted. Included in the cookbook will be a spiced apple pie with cider brandy sauce which is an original recipe of mine. I came up with it in 1999 and served it for a special luncheon at school where it got rave reviews. Also included are a bunch of recipes from when I worked at Neiman Marcus (actually most are from there). And spme from where I am at now plus a few I ahve collected from here and there. I am also still working on the Stars game. As soon as I find something out I will post the details. This could be a lot of fun for our local SGDFW group. Ok here is the same info as before:
